Faith, the Antidote for Fear

Hello, dear woman. I want to share with you some words that God has put in my heart for these difficult times. It is no secret to anyone that today more than ever we need the Lord and His Word to continue standing in faith.

J. Krishnamurti once said: “Fear is a dreadful thing, it paralyzes you, makes you ugly, brings about violence physically and inwardly, and you become superstitious and accept illusion.”

True words. Fear is a POISON that can stop a person completely. The definition of poison is "a substance that, introduced into a living being, is capable of producing serious functional disturbances and even death." Have you thought about the effects that fear has on people? I say it again; fear is a POISON. Fear hinders your functions and can sometimes cause, emotional, spiritual, and even physical paralysis or death. There are people who have not come to fulfill their dreams, just because they spend all their time thinking about what can happen and, generally, bad things that could happen. I have encountered many men and women that live in constant "superstitions" full of fear, negativity and worries.

Hebrews 11:27 says: “By faith he (Moses) forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured (stayed firm) as seeing Him who is invisible.”

Woman of God let’s reflect on this. By faith, Moses left Egypt. He "turned his back" on everything he knew; he turned his back on an entire lifestyle, an entire mindset, but he did it without fear. All this because he knew there was something else, that God was calling him for big things; because it is not about saying “no” just to say “no”, it is to say “no” in order to say “yes” to something else. If we say “no” to fear, we must say “yes” to faith. In these moments of crisis, more than ever we must decide to hold on to His Word.  We must believe what it says and walk in what it says. FAITH is required to be able to say “yes”!

When we leave "Egypt" by faith, that faith becomes the antidote to fear, that faith sustains us, it keeps us firm in our decision. Take a moment to think; What is your "Egypt"? What has stopped you from walking in God's purpose for your life? Maybe it’s doubt, fear, anger, or negativity. It is time to make a decision, it is time to turn your back. Moses turned his back on Egypt twice, the first time out of fear, when he killed the Egyptian; and the second time by faith, when he encountered God in the bush, 40 years later. Moses, on this second occasion, did not escape or run away, but, with the assurance that God supported him, he decided to say no to Egypt and say yes to God's plan; he had his eyes set on the reward.
It is not always easy to turn your back on what you know, what is so familiar and comfortable. It is not easy to stay firm when see everyone around us speaking negative things, when we watch the news or when we see everything surrounding us. It is difficult to maintain faith when we see our children get sick or when our husband is out of a job ... How hard it is for us to continue declaring what the Word of God says. But the Bible tells us that Moses kept seeing Him who is invisible. Why the invisible God? Moses and the people of Israel needed to see God's manifestation, not in one way, but in several ways. They had to believe that God would manifest according to the need: As a pillar of fire, as a pillar of cloud, as water, as manna, as quails ... God told Moses that his name was "I am", simply "I am". I am, what?  WHATEVER YOU NEED! Why should we see God in only one way, if all we need is in Him? Are you afraid? Look at the invisible God, fix your eyes on the God of love... His perfect love will cast out all POISON of fear of your life. Do it today, by FAITH!

Pray: Lord, thank you because Your perfect love casts out all POISON of fear in my life. Forgive me for my doubts and insecurities and for not having turned my back on those things that separate me from You. Forgive me if I have fallen into anxiety or have tried to do things on my own strength. Today I decide to turn my back on "Egypt", without fear, with the certainty that You will manifest in all areas of my life and in each of my needs.Amen
